COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Carbon Junction Mine for the month of May,1998. <br />Availability of Records: The records were inspected and found to be satisfactory. Further details <br />of the inspection can be found on page 5 of this report. <br />Hydrologic Balance: All ditches and ponds were inspected and found to be in compliance, both <br />ponds were dry, well vegetated and capable of functioning as designed. All culverts were clear <br />and capable of functioning as designed. Construction of the new drainage system approved by <br />TR-08 has begun. <br />Excess Spoil and Development Waste :The revision changing the final configuration to the <br />overburden pile has been approved and construction of the approved design change was being <br />implemented. Final grading prior to topsoiling is almost completed. <br />No problems were noted during the inspection. <br />
