(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: _ M-1486-176
INSPECTION DATE: i~T)nm
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: AI A
This inspection was conducted in compliance with the order of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board that each mine
in the State of Colorado be inspected al: least once every four years. The operator was contacted several days prior to the
inspection and Matt Heimerich, County Commissioner, and David Raggsdale, Superintendent accompanied this inspector on
the inspection of the pit.
The sign was posted at the entrance to the pit. It is legible but fading, and may require attention in the near future. The
boundaries are marked with fence lines and are sufficient.
Pit slopes on the north and west appear steeper than 3:1 and may require some backfilling to achieve the required slope upon
reclamation. The operator should keep this in mind as they prepare to complete this pit. The pit Floor is flat and dry, and
water entering the pit does not Flow out:, eliminating the potential for offsite erosion damage.
Little topsoil is available on the site as it was mined in pre-law times. We discussed various options for amending the on site
soil, the County is presently importing and stockpiling soil removed from cleaning out culverts. This is an excellent source of
soil. The County plans to contact the N.3tural Resource Conservation Services for additional ideas regarding reclamation.
No oil or fuel storage was noted on site except that contained in the equipment.
No problems were noted at the time of inspection.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Matt Heimerich
OPERATOR: Crowley Coun
STREET: 110 . 6~' S r t
CITY/STATEJZIP: ()rdwaTv,.
