III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology (DMG) This mine has closed and reclamation of most areas is <br />complete. The weather was overcast and cool. Ground conditions were snow-covered due <br />to overnight snows. <br />Availability of Records <br />The mine records are kept at the EFCI office in Florence, 719-784-6395. All records were <br />found current and in compliance. Details of the records check can be found on page 2a of <br />this report. <br />Roads <br />The entrance road was snow covered <br />but passable. It appeared <br />normal with no sign of damage or instability of any kind. <br />Offsite Support Facilities <br />The topsoil pile located on the former Newlin Creek mine was inaccessible due to road <br />conditions as was the Monarch fan site. These sites will be visited as a priority next month. <br />Overall, areas inspected appeared in normal condition for the winter season <br />
