King Coa]• pg. 2
Our field inspection confirmed the above permit info. is correct. The noted alternate
sediment control methods were being used and the SAE area description is accurate. As
noted, silt fence was also effectively being utilized with the rock check dams and filters
to control runoff and needs to be added to the permit text.
The permittee is also controlling runoff from the access /haulroad with the same
methodology to prevent runoff from leaving the permit area into the adjacent pastureland.
These areas are well maintained and there was no evidence of off site damage due to
runoff and sediment. The access /haulroad was adequatelysurfaced with durable
materials, and well maintained. It appears the approved SAE is functioning effectively,
and the access road protections are also preventing runoff from leaving the permit area
into adjacent pasturelands. This concluded the inspection. Mr. Ranney also conducted a
complete inspection of the site.
Please address any questions concerning this evaluation report to Henry Austin at
haustin@osmre.aov or to (303) 844-1400 x1466.
