III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection The comments include discussion of observations made <br />dunng the mspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division). Ron Thompson of Peak Project Management <br />represented the operator, Basin Resources, during a portion of the inspection. A final bond <br />release application is currently under review for this site for all areas except 1.2 acres at the <br />NW-1 ventilation shaft area. Ground conditions were dry and the weather was cool and mild <br />Availability of Records <br />The public copy of the mine records is kept at the office of Peak Project Management (PPM). <br />The contact, address, and phone number for PPM is Ron Thompson, Peak Project <br />Management, 34115 County Road 20.8, Trinidad, CO 81082. 719-846-4975. The operator <br />will submit a 2006 Annual Reclamation Report in the near future All records were found in <br />compliance as detailed on page 2a of this report. <br />Revegetation <br />Revegetation on the reclaimed areas is enjoying an excellent year so far due to repeated <br />rains and warming soil temperatures. This mine has a Phase II bond release application <br />currently pending and under review by the Division.
