Mr Terry Acton and Mr. Dana Angel accompanied this inspector on the
inspection of the pit.
An ident~cation sign was located at the entrance to the pit, adjacent to Phantom Canyon road. The site is adequately marked
with steel posts, though the orange paint on the posts has Faded to off-white.
Water and erosion do not appear to present a problem, as the slopes are in rock, and the outslope is protected by a berm
constructed of fine material. Grades are flatter than 3:1 and appear stable.
Topsoil is being saved, but is extremely scarce and rocky.
The pit was idle at the time of inspection, and equipment was being loaded on trucks to be relocated to another location.
No problems were noted at the time of inspection.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Judy Gilkerson
OPERATOR: Fremont County Road and Bridge
STREET: 615 Mann AvP.Ronm 2n?
CITY/STATE/ZIP: ("anon ~ CO RU77
cc: ~ Mr. Jim Stevens
^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
