MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn-ieRn_933
INSPECTION DATE: -G/~ns INSPECTOR S INITIALS: KAP
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was performed as part of the four-year monitoring program conducted by the Division of
Minerals and Geology. Present at the inspection were Kate Pickford, DMG, and Mathew Valdez,
Costilla County. Weather at the time of the inspection was clear, calm, and approximately 80 degrees.
2. An appropriate sign is posted at the mine entrance and fence lines mark the boundaries. The site is
adequately graded for final reclamation. Vegetation at the site, however, is not adequate for release.
Although the site has been seeded, perennial vegetative cover ranges from 0% to 30%. Adjacent,
undisturbed areas contain approximately 70% to 80% vegetative cover consisting primarily of perennial
grasses.
3. A road is present on the site, which is still being used to access and adjacent property. The reclamation
plan for the site does not indicate that the road will remain after final reclamation. In order for the road
to be reclaimed, the area would have to be seeded and use of the road discontinued so that
vegetative cover could be come established. If the operator desires to keep the road at the site
following reclamation, the operator may submit a technical revision to the Division indicating that the
road will remain.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Mathew Valdez
OPERATOR: Costilla County
STREET: P n Rc~x 130
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Snn I ui~ CCU R1 159
Cc: ^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WOCD (CH)
X Other: Harry Posey, DMG
