Vern Dilley of Dilley's Sand and Gravel was present during the inspection.
Weather conditions on site were clear and windy. Ground conditions were dry.
The 110 Mining and Reclamation Permit was issued to Dilley's Sand and Gravel on January 28,
1981 to affect approximately 9.75 acres. No mining was taking place during the inspection.
Gravel is mined from a hill ranging from 1 ft. to 25 ft. The mined area will eventually
daylight towards the northeast. The operator stated that the pit could be no deeper Chan 15
feet to ensure irrigation water does not seep into the pit face. The pit is dry, and no
ponding of surface water runoff was noted. The operator will need to ensure that mining
related equipment is located inside the permit boundary area.
The Division currently holds a financial warranty in the amount of $3,100.00. This amount
appears adequate at this point in time to shape the pit slope to a 3h:ly grade, topsoil and
revegetate the area. Amine identification sign was posted at the entrance to the site and
permit boundary markers were noted.
2 & H Contact Address
^ CE
NAME Mr. Vern Dilley ^ BL
OPERATOR Dillev's Sand & Gravel ^ FS
STREET 1914 Edmunds St. ^ HW
CITY/STATE/ZIP Brush, Colorado 80723 ^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
Cc: Carl Mount; DMG
