III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of DRMS. No one else was present <br />during the inspection. Snow has melted from most of the site. Photographs taken during the <br />inspection are attached. <br />Records Availability <br />Records were checked at the Gazfield County courthouse (see attached checklist). All required records <br />were on file. <br />Siens and Markers <br />The mine i.d. sign was in place at the entrance from the I-70 frontage road where a gate restricts public <br />access to the site. <br />Roads <br />Road surfaces were in good condition. <br />HydroloQic Balance <br />Both cells of the sediment pond were dry. Pond inslopes appeared stable. <br />Backfill and Gradine <br />Backfill appeared stable in the azea of both portals, as seen from the upper terrace. <br />Surface Facilities <br />No problems were found on the upper, middle, and lower terraces. <br />General Mine Plan Comaliance <br />No problems were found on the site. <br />3 <br />
