III. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of CDMG on 12/27/00. Digital images were recorded at the
time of the flight. The digital images were reviewed by Janet Binns of Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
on 12/28/00. Review of these images is the basis for this inspection report. The mine is reclaimed, with no
facilities and no personnel remaining on site. The mine was an underground mine. The mine site is snow covered.
Roads: Routt County keeps Routt County Road No. 29 plowed. No problems with [he county road.
Hydroloaic Balance: The pond is snow-covered, but does not appear to contain any water under the snow. No
problems were noted with the permanent drainage at the north end of the permit area.
Slides: No additional rockfall is apparent on the reclaimed mine bench. No rock is observed in the County Road.
No cattle tracks or snow machine tracks are apparent on the mine site. The former mine office building remains in
support of the post-mining land use of pastureland.
No problems are apparent on the site based upon the aerial images.
Page _3_ of _4_ Pages, (date) _72128/00 , (initials)
