The original complaint was filed on 1115!98 and an
inspection was conducted in response to that complaint on 11/11/98. The site is approximately 15 miles southeast of Pueblo,
Colorado in sections 7 & 8, T245, R 65 W. During the initial inspection it was noted that mining was not occurring and the
roadway leading into the ranch was in good condition with no evidence of spilled product on it. However, It was also
determined that Rex Angelovich, al local contractor, had indeed removed some material from near the ranch. Mr. Angelovich
was sent an "Is it Mining Letter" to determine if his activities would be considered a mining activity that required a permit.
This was never returned to the office and as a result, this inspection is being conducted to insure that no mining is occurring.
The road leading into the ranch was in passable condition and it did not appear that continuous heavy truck traffic, such as
that associated with mining, had been using the road. Once again, no spilled material was observed along the road and no
mining activity or mining equipment was observed around the area. No one was at the house to verbally confirm these
observations and since no one was home, the remainder of the ranch was not inspected. However, based on the observations
made during this inspection, it would appear that no mining Is occurring, therefore, this file will be terminated.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Rex Angelovich
OPERATOR: SAME
STREET: 1216 Lake Ave.
CITY/STATE2IP: Pueblo.
