Permit boundaries were in place and the operator also pointed out the locations of the
proposed new permit area. The Amendment proposes to increase the permit area from the current
2.5 acre site to a 9.9 acre area. The amendment was submitted in response to a Board Order
because of off-site damage caused by pushing overburden and waste rock downslope off the
permit area. Some of this material reached a small stream, and much of the remainder is lying
above the stream at its angle of repose with a good possibility that more of it could slide
into the stream. The area of the slide was inspected and various methods of stabilizing this
area were discussed. The inspectors also requested that a stabilization plan be submitted as
part of the Amendment application.
2 & 8 Contact Address
^ CE
NAME Glenn Southwick ^ BL
OPERATOR Masonville Stone. ^ FS
STREET PO Box 1103 ^ HW
CITY{STATE{ZIP Wellington, Colorado 80549 ^ HMWhID (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
Cc: Carl Mount; DMG
