III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. - <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Marr Mine conducted by Harry Ranney of the DMG. Aerial <br />photographs were taken on January 14, 2003. Mike Boulay of the DMG reviewed the aerial <br />photographs. Weather conditions were cleaz and sunny at the time of the flight. The majority of <br />the mine site was snow covered. The permanent light use road accessing the shop/warehouse <br />azea was partially snow packed and there is no activity appazent at the mine site. <br />All sedimentation ponds were visible in the photographs. The surface of Ponds A, B, C, D, and <br />E were snow covered and appeaz frozen. Water levels in each of these ponds aze relatively low. <br />Ponds F and G were snow covered but do not appeaz to be retaining any water. None of the site <br />sedimentation ponds were dischazging at the time of the flight. No problems or areas of concern <br />were noted from the review of the aerial photographs. <br />
