(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: roi-t9a7-n~i
INSPECTION DATE: ~an~iati u, ~nm INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ~LA_
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted in compliance with an order by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board that all mines in
the State of Colorado be inspected once every four years. The Owner was contacted several days in advance and made
arrangements for the Operator, Mr. Ed Kite of All Rite Paving and Redi-Mix, Inc. to accompany this inspector.
An excellent mine identification sign was observed on the gate to the property, and Mr. Kite conducted this inspector to each
of the four boundary markers. The boundaries are marked with a piece of approximately 2.375" drill pipe placed in the
ground, sticking up approximately 8 feet.
The site is located approximately one mile north of the town of Manzanola and approximately 1/2 mile east of highway 207
off of CR A.6. The operation is mining an alluvial gravel terrace associated with the Arkansas River. The mine Floor will be
approximately two to four feet above the river elevation staying above the water table. This property directly adjoins the
Arkansas River and is offset from the river by a 250 foot wide buffer. The buffer is marked using a pile of overburden placed
as a berm. This is an excellent way to prevent mining disturbance from encroaching on the river.
The pit was idle at the time of inspection. The only work done to date has been removal of several thousand tons of gravel
and clearing a Flat work area to set the screening plant on. This deposit is expected to generate a considerable quantity of
reject material, and the question of where to place reject sand while waiting for a place to backfill it was discussed. The reject
sand stockpile must be placed within the permit affected area. This may add to the area required to be bonded and increase
the bond. The Division will perform a review of the bond calculation will be performed based upon the permit and
consideration given to the proposed reject stockpileslternative.
No fuel or oil is being stored in the pit at the time of the inspection.
A storm water management plan is in effect for this property, and must be followed as the mine progresses
No revegetation has taken place at this time, as the pit is still under development. Concurrent reclamation with mining will
allow the Owner and Operator to keep the bond amount as small as possible.
No problems were noted at the time of inspection.
I & E Contact Address
Xc: Mr. Albert Nesselhuf
31160 CR 14
Manzanola, CO 81058
NAME:
cc: ~~It1r. )im Stevens
^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
OPERATOR: All Rite Paving and Redi-Mix.
