III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the New Pryor Mine for the month of September, 1997. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: The site has recently received a fair amount of rain and the vegetation <br />is still green. All ponds have water in them but none are discharging. The drainage ditches <br />appear to be stable. <br />SUBSIDENCE: The repair to the collasped underground workings still appears to be stable and <br />vegetation is starting to come up. <br />About 10 head of cattle were seen grazing at the upper pond. It is unknown if the cattle had <br />gotten through the fence on their own or if the land owner has allowed them on the site. The <br />site does not have a perimeter fence to prevent any stray cattle from getting onto the site. <br />
