<br />INSPECTION REPORT - PAGE 2 <br />FILE N0. 81-14 <br />DATE: June 25, 1985 <br />OBSERVATIONS OF IMPORTANCE: <br />1. Mining is occurring in Phase IA. <br />Z. Topsoil stockpile was not graded or revegetated. <br />3. Topsoil does not appear to average 12 inches in depth. <br />4. Area in Phase IA has been reclaimed. <br />5. Revegetation in area IA is successfully establishing. <br />Revegetation in area IV is establishing; weed species are more prevalent <br />in this area. Native species are invading. <br />6. A nursery appears to be located within the permitted boundary. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />1. Grade topsoil stockpiles to slopes no steeper - 3H:SV. <br />2. Seed topsoii stockpiles with 12 #/AC PLS Western Wheatgrass. <br />3. Please determine actual amounts of topsoil available on the entire <br />permitted acreage (average). If 12 inches are not available for final <br />topsoil replacement, please provide the Division with a technical <br />revision describing the average amount of topsoil to be replaced. <br />4. Please illustrate the nursery land location on the next Annual Report <br />"Map" Submittal. Please clarify whether or not the nursery land will be <br />mined. <br />5.
