ORIGINAL-PUBLIC FILE <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn-19R7_m9 <br />INSPECTION DATE: Z/79in~ INSPECTORS INITIALS: Rr <br />OBSERVATION <br />The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site as part of sites <br />to be inspected during the fiscal years 2006/2007. The site is located <br />approximately lj2mile west of Highway 287 along the Arkansas River. <br />Ms Denise Gonzales of Redi Mix was contacted about the pending inspection <br />but was unable to attend. <br />Permit sign was properly posted at the access to the property. The only <br />activity on site is processing of asphalt and concrete in the batch plants <br />on as need basis. No mining is anticipated on site. The actual permit area <br />consisted of Phase I AND II. Phase I covered 16 acres and Phase II was 9.5 <br />Acres. A portion of the Phase I AREA is now a pond. The embankments along <br />the East side are lined with concrete. The pond area was driven no problem <br />noted. <br />There was some recycled asphalt stock pile noted south of the batch plant. <br />Top soil stockpile noted along the East side of the batch plant appeared <br />stable. Post mining land use is Industrial Commercial /Range Land. That <br />being the case, it will be advantageous to the operator to submit an <br />acreage release for the areas covered by the batch plants and the office. <br />The Division never calculated a financial warranty to remove these <br />structures. Since it appears these structures will be left in place as <br />approved in the post mining land use, to remove them from the permit area <br />will make the DMG permit more clear and avoid future confusions. <br />There was some TAMRISK NOTED along the Arkansas embankment area, which is <br />very prevalent along the river through out Prowers to Pueblo County. <br />The current warranty in the amount of $48,000.00 is more than adequate to <br />cover the cost of existing reclamation as approved. <br />I & E Contact Address <br />NAME: MS.
