III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Coal Ridge C-1984-065
15 Feb OS ~~-~
Page 1/1
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection of the Coal Ridge Mine conducted by Jim Stark of CDMG. The mine is
reclaimed and is in the period of extended liability. The weather was cool and raining lightly and the
ground was wet.
Availability of Records: All of the necessary records were available at the Garfield County Courthouse
in Glenwood Springs. See the records checklist at the end of this inspection for more details.
Signs and Markers: All of the permit boundary mazkers were in place. The mine ID sign was in place
and in good condition.
Hydrologic Balance: -The sediment pond was wet at the bottom at the time of the inspection. The
pond embankment was well vegetated and stable. No erosional problems were noted at the time of the
inspection.
-Avery small amount of water was flowing in the ditches at the time of the inspection. The ditches
were all well vegetated and stable at the time of the inspection. No erosional problems were noted.
Revegetation: The entire site has been revegetated. The vegetative cover looks good and appears to be
enough to control erosion.
The site is in overall good condition with no erosional problems.
