ORIGINAL-PUBLIC F[LE <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ~~-~ can-lee <br />INSPECTION DATE: o/~ 5%n7 INSPECTOROS INITIALS: _~1~. <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The Division conducted a bi-monthly inspection of the site on 1/3/06. Present during the <br />inspection were Tim Comer, Gary Goodrich and Mark Venoni. The area had received some snow <br />the past week and high speed wind was blowing the snow at the time of the inspection. <br />Prior to the inspection a brief introduction of the new Environmental personnel that CC7V <br />hired from the Jarred Canyon mine, Mr. Mark Venoni who has extensive background in liner <br />installation. Briefly discussed about how to best approach the release from liability of <br />the old Victory pads, which had been in detoxification for the past several years. Both <br />the Division and the operator agreed to conduct joint sampling of the leachate from the <br />ponds for WAD cyanide analysis and some metals on 2/27/07. Water quality data to date <br />meets or exceeds the DRMS standard setfor decommissioning of the leach pads. <br />Inspected the East Cresson it was being actively mined and backfilled at the same time. <br />Fromm the American Eagle look out areailooked at the main Cresson, the South portion of <br />the main Cresson was active. <br />Inspected the old Pad #3 & 4 areas. Sp~lnt ore removal in anticipation of the South Cresson <br />mine extension is continuing. Ponds 6,~7 & 8 waters have been tested and are being <br />utilized as make up water and dust suppression on site. Once all the processed water is <br />utilized liner will be folded and buried. Areas that will not be mined under the current <br />mining plan will be reclaimed. Inspected the load out bin area, excess ore was being <br />removed £rom the traverse area for thetrucks at the time of the inspection. <br />Inspected the Phase I, II, III&IV Lea <br />from the High and Low Volume Solution <br />Phase I High Volume Solution Collecti <br />still not functioning) #2 was at 28.7 <br />40.2 feet.
