• (Page 3) •
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #
INSPECTION DATE 03/11/98 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS RCO
recalculate the bond periodically, and base the amount on current disturbance, planned
disturbance and the approved reclamation plan. The new figures will be sent to the operator
for review. Total reclamation costs may be influenced by the operator by reporting all
reclamation work completed.
Overall the site is clean and orderly. There is no debris, contaminated soil, or other non
mining related items. There was a scattering of spotted knapweed (Centaurea maculosa)over
a small area along the NW highwall. It does not appear serious, but the operator and/or~
landowner (BLM) should coordinate efforts to control it while it is manageable.
This inspector requested that the operator please submit a revised map in the next annual
report. An operator is required to report current conditions, such as levels of activity,
areas of disturbance and reclamation, on an annual basis, both on the report form and through
an updated map. This has not been done in numerous years. It will especially helpful in
this case because the boundary lines have been redefined recently, and knowing where the
activity lies in relation to the boundary is needed. Weed control may be reported here also.
At this time, there are no problems noted in this report, though some future follow up on the
items explained above would be appreciated.
For all questions or comments pertaining to this report, please contact this inspector at the
address or phone shown below:
Division of Minerals and Geology
484 Turner, Bldg.
