II. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />1) The permit has been revoked. The revoked permit carries the original identification number <br />of C-81-046. <br />2) On file at the Division of Minerals and Geology.(Division), 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, <br />Denver, CO 80203. <br />3) There is no current document on file. <br />4) There are no current permits for this activity. <br />5) There is no record of such notification in current files. <br />b) Not applicable. No Subsidence monitoring was done at the site (see PAP, paragraph <br />2.05.6(6)). Subsidence or collapse (possibly) features at the airshaff located to the north of the <br />upper portals (NW Yn NW'/< Sec 35, T7N, R89W) and midway between the airshaff and upper <br />portals have been reported to AML. <br />7) There is no record of such monitoring or surveying in the current files. The Division is not <br />conducting such activities. <br />8) None known to have existed. <br />9) An original reclamation cost estimate starts on page 144 of the PAP. There is no current <br />estimate, <br />10) There is (are) no such document(s) in the current files. <br />11) The original permit CO 0036501 (PAP, page 15) has expired and is no longer maintained by <br />the Division. <br />12) The original permit, 1060 (PAP, page 15), has expired. <br />Ss~ns and Markers The only sign and marker at this site is the Division reclamation sign. It is in <br />place. <br />Roads The road to the upper portals has been blocked with an earthen berm. There is a road <br />to the lower portal from the highway. There is a portion of a road left to the air shaft on the <br />ridge to the north of the portal areas. These roads are not maintained, but have been <br />abandon in place. <br />Hvdroloaic Bplance No surface water was apparent anywhere on the site. No erosion features <br />were seen at the site. There was no evidence of contaminated runoff at the site. The artesian <br />well standpipe below the site had been removed. There is a seep at the site that can be <br />directed through a pipe to the irrigation ditch, but at the time of the inspection it was flowing <br />to the creek. There was no discharge from the mine portals. <br />Backfill and Grading The collapsed (apparent) airshaff area to the north of the portals, and up <br />on the ridge, had been backfilled and graded. The road to this site had been extended on up <br />to the west-northwest. <br />Reveaetation Vegetation was dry. There was no visible new vegetation from the reseeding of <br />the crib wall area.
