Pa e 2
MINE ID # OR INSPECTOR'S
PROSPECTING ID #: M-199&034 INSPECTION DATE: 08/14/2006 INITIALS: RMW
This inspection was conducted as part of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) monitoring
program. Present at the inspection were Richard Wenzel of the Division and Joe Docheff of Mountain Park
Concrete, Inc.
A sign was posted at the entrance to the site and the north, east and south permit boundaries were marked with
fences. The west permit boundary parallels the right-of way for County Road 3 and was delineated by an earthen
bean.
At the time of this inspection, no mining activity was occurring at the site; however, mining equipment was staged
near the northwest comer of the site. The mining that has taken place up to this point has been at the north end of
the site and has progressed from west to east creating a near vertical slope up toapproximatelytwenty-five feet in
height. In the northeast comer of the site, topsoil has been stripped and stockpiled as a berm along the east side of
the site. Additional topsoil and overburden are stockpiled south of the mining area as shown in the photographs on
page four of this report. The topsoil stockpiles appear to have an adequate cover of vegetation to protect them from
erosion.
An infestation of Diffuse Knapweed was observed along the west berm north of the entrance to the site, and along
the north permit boundary. The Division recommends that the operator implement the weed control measures
outlined in the reclamation plan of the original permit to control this noxious weed. This issue is noted as a problem
on page three of this report, and will require a response by the operator.
Overall, the site was very neat and well maintained. There was no evidence of erosion, indicating that storm water
runoff is well controlled and contained within the permitted area. No significant problems, otherthan presence of a
noxious weed, were identified during this inspection.
Based on the amount of disturbance observed during this inspection, the current bond is adequate to coverthe cost
of reclamation.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Richard Wenzel at the Division of Reclamation, Mining
and Safety, Denver Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-
4935.
Enforcement and Inspection Contact Address
NAME: Mr. Jae Docheff III
OPERATOR: Mountain Park Concrete, Inc.
STREET: P.
