T -Z
•
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #
INSPECTION DATE 10-2Q-96
This was a normal compliance inspection
is the permittee.
(Page 2) .
N-89-112
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CBM
No bond is held at this operation since the County
Topsoil and overburden are stored at the northwest corner of the pit area as the permit area
map (Exhibit E) indicates. If these stockpiles are left in place more than one growing
season, they must be revegetated to control weed establishment and control wind and water
erosion and to keep the topsoil in a suitable condition for use in reclamation.
Materials are stored on the eastern side of the pit area in the area marked "Existing Gravel
Pit" on the Exhibit E map. Some part of these stockpiles of material are outside the permit
area. Since this area was disturbed by a pre-permit operation, these materials must
eventually be moved into the permit area but do not have to be moved immediately.
The existing access road comes in at the northern edge of the permit area but this road has
been mined through and no longer provides access to the pit area from the north. The road
has been reestablished around and outside of the permit area to the northeast and east and
now enters the permit area from the southeast. See PV-1.
The entire permit area has been mined. The southern boundary of the disturbed area has been
regraded to establish 3H:1V elopes that are ready for revegetation. The Division would
encourage Moffat County to reclaim any areas that are not needed for loading out the
stockpiles of road base material to control weeds and wind and water erosion on the site.
I & E Contact Addreee cc:
~ CE
NAME Mr. Warren J.
