III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br />Helow are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of <br />observations made durinc the inspection. Comments also describe any <br />enforcement ar_ticns taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence <br />supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology. Kent Gorham of the CDMG reviewed nine <br />oblique aerial photos in the office or, Aori1 19. The permit for this <br />site has been revoked and the site is on a reduced inspection freouency <br />of two inspections per year. Patchy snow covered the s:te after the <br />large storm on April 10. The approximation of the reclaimed area is <br />bounded by the yellow border. on the enclosed photo. <br />Three ponds remain at this site. Pond K is on the north side of <br />disturbance and appeared dry. Pond A (actually two small ponds in <br />series? is on the east and held a significant amount of water. Larg <br />gullies or erosional features were not acparent on the recla:m~d ar <br />Revege*arion <br />Due to recurrent snowstorms, it appears *_hat significant green-up <br />the reclaimed area vegetation is a few warm days away. Cattle wer <br />visi ble on the reclaimed area . <br />Overall, the mine site appears in good condition for the early spt <br />Nothing warranting on-the-ground inspection was visible in any of <br />ohotos reviewed. <br />Hydroiagic Balance <br />
