Carter; RE: Technical Revision 02 Baculite Mesa Pit - M-1997-011 This Technical Revision is prepared to address the 5 problems noted in the Division' s inspection report dated 7/29/2025 . Each will be addressed in the order presented as problems in the inspection report . The Mining Plan, Reclamation Plan and Water Exhibits have been revised to reflect the changes made in this Technical Revision packet . In addition, it corrects a permit boundary problem found when reviewing the current legal description as discussed in the following text . The request for updated Mining and Reclamation Maps is not necessary because neither plans have been revised. A survey of the property to better define and mark the boundary corners has been completed and a corrected and updated Map Exhibit C - Pre Mining Map and a Bond analysis map are provided to support this Technical Revision. Permit Area -vs- Permit Line During reconstruction of the maps the Surveyor found a number of problems that affected replicating the original boundary lines . We had to make some assumptions and the primary one was that many of the legs of the boundary approximately matched lot lines found on the original subdivision maps . We chose to use the lot lines as the basis for reconstructing the permit boundary for this reason. While many of the original permit lines were close matches to the lot line there were minor curves and short legs that the original map makers chose to just straighten and create a new line description for those combined legs . In doing the new outline the surveyor found that the corrected permit outline, while closely matching the original in shape, actually enclosed approximately 2100 . 14 acres, not the 1970 . 0
