Please be as specific
as possible.
Comment/Objection Narrative*
As a resident of Colorado for nearly fifty years, I'm writing to express my support for the CJK Milling reclamation
project in Leadville. For decades, my family made frequent trips to Leadville, whether it be to camp at Turquoise
Lake, ski at Ski Copper, fly fish the Arkansas Headwaters or hike near Mount Elbert and Mount Massive. It's
often quite common for citizens to hear the word"mining"and immediately express concerns. Unfortunately, it's
often difficult to separate fact from fiction once preconceived biases are in place.
The CJK Milling project is an opportunity to address existing environmental damage while also providing
economic benefit to Leadville and surrounding communities. The opportunity to reclaim the mine dumps, reduce
leaching acid, while restoring natural habitat for all to enjoy is a benefit to all.The efforts of the CJK Milling
company are a tremendous opportunity to restore 1,200 acres of mine dumps to a natural landscape of pine,
spruce and fir trees to the benefit of all Coloradans and the wildiife population.
Permitting Action Comment/Objection is Regarding
New Permit • Change to Existing Permit
Permit Number* (?)
Enter a valid permit number
M1990057
