<br /> <br />Notice of Proposed Decision <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has issued a proposed decision to Bond <br />Release Application No. 9 (SL-9) for the Yoast Mine, Permit No. C-1994-082. The Division <br />proposes to approve the SL-9 bond release application for final Phase I, II and III bond release. <br />This decision constitutes a full release of reclamation liability for the Yoast Mine. Pursuant to <br />Rule 3.03.3(1), the Division is proposing to terminate its jurisdiction over this entire coal mining <br />operation. The surface operation is operated by Seneca Property LLC under the provisions of the <br />Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was <br />submitted by Seneca Property LLC on October 9, 2024. The SL-9 application included Seneca <br />Property LLC’s request for 8.5 acres of Phase I, 17.04 acres of Phase II, and 215.25 acres of Phase <br />III bond release at the Yoast Mine.
