This project represents an <br /> environmental reclamation effort focused on the removal of historic mine waste and restoration <br /> of the disturbed landscape to a stable, revegetated condition. <br /> The enclosed application includes the required Exhibits A through L, Environmental Protection <br /> Plan, and supporting documentation consistent with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act <br /> (C.R.S. 34-32-101 et seq.) and the Mineral Rules and Regulations for Designated Mining <br /> Operations. <br /> The proposed operation involves no new mineral extraction or on-site processing. All activity is <br /> limited to the excavation, off-site hauling, and disposal of historic mine waste. Following <br /> removal,the site will be graded to stable slopes and seeded with Sheep Fescue (Festuca ovina)to <br /> establish permanent vegetative cover and minimize erosion. <br /> We appreciate the Division's review of this submittal and welcome the opportunity to coordinate <br /> during the technical review process.
