Engineering Evaluation Report
McCumber Hill Pit, Williamsburg, Colorado
October 2025
Structures in Question
The structures in question include Black Hills Energy overhead power lines along the
south side of the site and along Highway 115 to the north as well as Qwest Phone line
along County Road 11A on the southeast side of the site. Refer to Exhibit B.
This pit is currentlynot used for mining operations, nor are there intentions to do so in
the future. The site is primarily undisturbed with native topography and vegetation. In
the event mining operations are performed on site, there will be no adverse impact on
the existing overhead power lines and communication lines.
Conclusion
The Black Hills Energy and Qwest overhead infrastructure that traverse the site and/or
are within the 200-ft buffer will not be adversely affected if future mining operations
occur on site.
2
