London Mountain Clean Up
July 2025

T-1
Exhibit T Designated Mining Operation
Environmental Protection Plan
1. Environmental Protection Plan
The London Mountain Clean Up Limited Impact 112D Designated Mining Operation consists of
removing pre-law mine waste from claims throughout the Mosquito Gulch drainage. This 112D permit
represents a strategic expansion of the London Mine's successfully approved 110D permit (approved
November 2023, included as Appendix 1). This Environmental Protection Plan builds upon the proven
and effective Environmental Protection Plan established under the 110D permit (located in Exhibit U of
Appendix 1), extending those same protections to address the additional scope of work authorized
under the 112D permit. All environmental protection measures from the original 110D permit remain
fully intact and unchanged. This application incorporates and preserves all information from the
approved London Mine 110D permit, ensuring continuity of established environmental safeguards while
expanding their application to the broader project area (complete 110D documentation provided in
Appendix 1).
Pursuant to regulation, this pre-law mine waste is considered to potentially contain toxic or acid-forming
material when exposed or disturbed, resulting in this mine cleanup operation being considered a
designated mining operation. No chemicals will be used, stored, handled, exposed, disturbed or
disposed of within the permit area. The focus is not mining native material but rather cleaning up waste
that has remained excavated and piled on the site’s natural ground since prospecting and mining in the
region, beginning over a hundred years ago. The site itself is located in Park County, situated in the
heart of the Colorado Mineral Belt.
The environmental protection approach for this operation recognizes the significant environmental
benefits that will result from the proper cleanup and processing of these materials. All material handling
procedures have been designed to minimize environmental impact while ensuring the complete
removal of potentially contaminated materials from their current locations. The operation will follow
stringent protocols that prioritize environmental protection through careful excavation, immediate
transportation of potentially harmful materials, and comprehensive site restoration.
Material excavation procedures require that all material be removed from pile areas to at least six
inches below the natural grade or bedrock depth, whichever is less. This depth requirement ensures
complete removal of any potentially contaminated material while providing a stable foundation for
reclamation activities. No potentially acid-forming waste pile material may be stockpiled at the waste
pile location once it has been excavated from its original source, as all such material must be
immediately hauled to the London Mine 110D for further processing. All hauled waste material will be
transported via haul trucks following designated transportation routes that have been selected to
minimize impact on local communities and sensitive environmental areas.
