5. Describe proposed surface excavation or other land disturbance, including roads, pits,
trenches, waste piles, drill pads and collar areas of underground workings, ponds, etc.
Up to 35 drilling locations are proposed. Drilling will occur directly on level ground whenever
possible or on a drill pad in the event ground topography requires leveling prior to drill set up.
Drill pad areas will include a wildlife fennad sump to collect cuttings that will he used to hackfill
the drill hole for abandonment. Trenches, approximately 1600 to 1700 sq ft and five feet deep,
will be used at two locations. Eslablislled roads and trails will lie used to access drill areas,
and new access roads are planned to access collar sites (blue trail on all provided maps).
Rubber-tired vehicles will be used for overland travel to minimize surface disturbance. Staging
and laydnwn areas will be estahlishPd as prPsRnted in Figures 6,7 and 8 of original NOI and
Figures 2 and 3 of this amendment.
6. Proposed Disturbance (approximate) Describe the proposed drilling to be conducted,
including anticipated number of holes, diameter, depth, location, etc. Submit additional
pages if necessary:
A. Drill Pads:
Average Average
Quantity 35 Width (ft) 30 Length (ft) 50
B. Drill Holes:
Diameter
Quantity 35 Depth (ft) 300-1000 (in) 4.5-5.5
C. Mud Pits
Average Average Average
Quantity 35 Width (ft) 4 Length (ft) 8 Depth (ft) 5
D. Described proposed underground work, including reopening of old workings,
advancement of adits or shafts, trenches, pits, cuts, rock dumps, or other types of
disturbance, describe type, quantity and general dimensions:
The proposed project does not include underground work.
l,orfn 2--Public File Page 6 of 14
