<br /> <br />Notice of Proposed Decision <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has issued a proposed decision to Bond <br />Release Application No. 8 (SL-8) for the Seneca II-W Mine, Permit No. C-1982-057. This <br />decision constitutes a full release of reclamation liability for the Seneca II-W Mine. Pursuant to <br />Rule 3.03.3(1), the Division is proposing to terminate its jurisdiction over this entire coal mining <br />operation. The surface operation is operated by Seneca Property LLC under the provisions of the <br />Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was <br />submitted by Seneca Property LLC on October 9, 2024. The SL-8 application is for final Phase III <br />bond release of 107.9 acres of land comprising 29.6 acres of Phase I, II and III release, and 78.3 <br />acres of Phase II and III release.
