Vegetation Survey Procedure <br /> The goal of the survey is to estimate the percentage of survival of the planted slopes and disturbed areas of the Pikeview Quarry reclamation project <br /> DRMS M-1977-21 1-AM04.The vegetation has survived two growing seasons and is ready to be evaluated for release of the permit. <br /> Heavy and thick grass growth is present on site and makes the count of shrubs and seedlings very difficult.Overall assessment will have to rely on a judgement. <br /> Photos of the process were taken and stored.Each Observer was given an Plant ID app on their Phone for identifying plants <br /> A one Square yard wood template was used randomly to count the density of Grass and Clover for reference purposes. <br /> Map Areas <br /> The site is based on reseeding common areas identified on the project based on operating history <br /> 1 South USFS land also known as the South Barrow Area <br /> 2 Buttress Area of the Fill on site to remediate the Slide <br /> 3 Upper west USFS land now seen as the upper outcrop of rock <br /> 4 Upper North USFS that was part of the North Barrow Area <br /> 5 City Area is the property held by the City of Colorado Springs Including the north Barrow and Shop Areas <br /> 6 Retention area is the Lower Barrow area now being used to settle water as it leaves the buttress area through stand pipes <br /> Site Inspection <br /> Observers were given a clipboard with map and forms to record by hand each area <br /> Prisms already onsite were used as the predominate location reference <br /> The buttress benches provided the elevation reference <br /> All hand written forms were accumulated in the summary sheet <br /> Report <br /> Site inspection Data accumulated by Riverbend was delivered to Stantec in the raw and summary formats <br /> Design and Project Management from Stantec will review the data and complete their report as part of the final TR <br />
