In addition, the Sievers Pit will be backfilled and reclaimed <br /> once mining is complete, thus eliminating any long-term injurious stream depletions related <br /> to exposure of groundwater. <br /> SWSP Operation <br /> The Sievers Pit is located in Section 13, Township 7 South, Range 89 West and Section 18, <br /> Township 7 South, Range 88 West of the 6t" P.M., and operated pursuant to an augmentation <br /> plan that was decreed on July 25, 1984 by the Division 5 Water court in case no. 83CW65. <br /> Oldcastle has been mining under DRMS Permit No. M-77-098 since 2013 and has expanded <br /> mining and water uses beyond the decreed amounts outlined in case no. 83CW65. This SWSP <br /> will replace depletions incurred by the expansion only. This SWSP will work in conjunction <br /> with the augmentation plan to replace depletions from 1.9 acres of exposed groundwater <br /> from dewatering trenches and ponds, water lost with mined product, and dust control. <br /> Depletions <br /> 83CW65 Augmentation Plan <br /> The 83CW65 augmentation plan augments the Sievers Ranch Gravel Pit Pipeline (WDID <br /> 3801554) and the Sievers Ranch Gravel Pit Well (WDID 3806177, permit no. 77077-F). The <br /> Sievers Ranch Gravel Pit Operation was decreed for the following annual amounts: <br /> • 2.6 acre-feet for sand screen operation, <br /> • 9.5 acre-feet for dust control of roads and crusher, <br /> • 3.6 acre-feet for concrete production, <br /> • 5.1 acre-feet for asphalt production, <br /> • 0.2 acre-feet for domestic use, and <br /> • 5.1 acre-feet of pond evaporation, <br /> • For a total annual consumption of 26.1 acre-feet. <br />
