(blue
a n
SOLUTIONS
September 25, 2025
Colorado Department of Natural Resources 9 C'9, 9
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
Attn: Mr. Joel Renfro SEP 2 5 202.5
1313 Sherman Street; Room 215
Denver Colorado, 80203 oIoracio Division of Necicarhilioll,
Mining and Saftey
RE: Technical Revision for Connell Resources,Inc.
Timnath Connell Pit,Permit No.M-1999-050
Dear Mr. Renfro:
The following Technical Revision discussion and attachments are submitted on behalf of our client,
Connell Resources, Inc., for the Timnath Connell Pit, M-1999-050. The purpose of this Technical
Revision is to relocate the main site entrance and provide updated information regarding the Timnath
Connell Pit mining and final reclamation plans.
The Timnath Connell Pit is located within the Town of Timnath, Larimer County, Colorado. The
Timnath Connell Pit was originally permitted for sand gravel mining in 1999 and included
approximately 157.6 acres. In December 2023,approval of AR-1, partial release of the Weitzel Road
right-of-way, decreased the permit area to 151.3 acres. In August 2025, approval of AR-2 further
decreased the permit area to approximately 121.4 acres.
With the recent acreage releases from the Timnath Connell Pit mining area, and future planned partial
acreage releases, it is necessary to relocate the main site entrance. The proposed relocated main site
entrance onto Weitzel Road is approximately 1,000 feet northwest of the existing main site entrance,
as illustrated on the attached revised Exhibit C-5, Pre-Mining/Mining Plan Map. The proposed
relocated main site entrance will be at:
40.51320 latitude (N)
-104.98620 longitude (W)
A revised Regular (112) Operation Reclamation Permit Application Form and Exhibit A, Legal
Description, updating the main site entrance description are also attached.
To keep the permit file up to date, a revised Exhibit C-1, Existing Conditions, and Exhibit C-4, Water
Resources Map, are also attached. The exhibits in the Timnath Connell Pit AM-1 materials(approved
October 2024) mistakenly illustrated the main site entrance location. To avoid future confusion, the
location of the main site entrance has been removed from the revised exhibits.
An updated copy of Exhibit F, Reclamation Plan Map has also been included. The Timnath Connell
Pit AM-1 Exhibit E,Reclamation Plan,states,"....backfilled,compacted,and graded areas will have
surface soils stabilized by a soil tackifier, a fast-growing cover-crop grass mix, rock, or other
erosion resistant material". The Reclamation Plan additionally states, "if the area is planned for
development shortly after MLRB reclamation permit release, temporary stabilizers such as soil
tackifier or rock may be used". For clarification, the attached Reclamation Plan Map includes a
Blue Earth Solutions,LLC ♦ P.O.Box 2427 ♦ Fort Collins, CO 80522 • (970)227-2803
