Cunningham, Director <br />September 15, 2025 <br /> <br />U.S. Bureau of Land Management <br />Little Snake Field Office <br />455 Emerson St. <br />Craig, CO 81625 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: Colowyo Coal Mine (Permit No. C-1981-019) <br /> Surety Increase No. 2 (SI-2) <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br /> <br />This letter, in accordance with Rule 3.02.2(4)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, is to inform you that the Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety has issued a proposed decision to approve Surety Increase No. 2 (SI-2) for the Colowyo Coal <br />Mine. This decision will be published in the CO Mountain News Media - Craig Daily Press, as soon as <br />possible. The first day following publication of the notice initiates a thirty (30) day public comment <br />period. If, within thirty days, there are no requests for an adjudicatory hearing, the decision will become <br />final. <br /> <br />As provided by Rule 3.02.2(4)(c), should you object to the Division’s proposed Decision, you may <br />request an adjudicatory hearing within thirty days of the above mentioned public notice publication. <br /> <br />If you have questions or need additional information, please contact me. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Hunter C.
