One south-southwest facing area had continued to grow and fill in a <br />little slower than the rest of DP-20. This area will continue to be monitored and addressed if necessary. DP-20 <br />was observed to be stable with no erosional features. No indications of differential settling were noted. <br />Dryland pasture DP-21 was seeded in 2023. Vegetation on DP-21 had dried out during the summer (Photo 5 and <br />6). DP-21 was stable with no erosional features. There were no indications of differential settling. <br />Irrigated cropland IC-1 is south of BB Road and west of 2700 Road. IC-1 was covered with vegetation and <br />actively being irrigated during the inspection *Photos 7 and 8). No indications of instability, erosion or <br />differential settling were observed. <br />Dryland Pasture Parcels DP-16 (Photo 9), DP-17 and DP-19 are located north and east of Pond 018. The dryland <br />parcels were covered with dry vegetation and observed to be stable. No indications of differential settling or <br />erosion were observed. <br />Irrigated Pasture IP-10 was inspected with Mr. Guire. Mr. Guire requested the Division look at Prairie Dog holes <br />located in the northeastern section of IP-10. The Division observed a few holes in this location. The holes <br />appeared to be a part of a colony primarily located to the north just outside the permit boundary for IP-10. Mr. <br />Guire also wanted the Division to look at locations on IP-10 that may have minor differential settling. Two of the <br />areas with potential settling were located near the southwestern portion of IP-10 (Photo 10). The Division’s GPS <br />was unable to take points at the time of the inspection. The Division is returning to IP-10 on August 27, 2025, to <br />take GPS points of these areas. The third location was located on the eastern half of IP-10 near the swale (Photo <br />11). This location was difficult to determine if any differential settling had occurred. The area was vegetated and <br />appeared to be stable. Runoff from this location makes its way into the swale. After the Division completes <br />gathering data on August 27, 2025, a determination will be made if any maintenance on IP-10 is warranted. <br />The afternoon of 8/13/2025 Mr. Guire provided the Division with several photos of his property via email. The <br />photos were of the two areas of concern located near the southwestern portion of IP-10. The photos are included <br />at the end of this report in Attachment No. 3. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> <br />The support facilities for the NH2 Mine are located off 5th Street in Nucla. The facilities were well kept and <br />organized (Photo 12 and 13). There was no trash or debris on the site. Fuels are no longer stored at the mine <br />facilities. The area was stable and there were no erosional features observed. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> <br />Mine identification signs were observed posted on all entrances to the permit area. The signs displayed the <br />address, contact information for the permittee, and the DRMS permit number. The signs were located in visible <br />locations and in good condition.
