Box 440 <br />Rapid City, SD 57709 <br />Re: Munroe Gypsum Quarry - File No. M-1977-002-HR <br />Colorado Lien Company <br />Technical Revision (TR-4) <br />Update the mining and reclamation plan maps to show the reduced permit area after <br />receiving approval of Acreage Release Request (AR-2). <br />Dear Michael Golliher: <br />On August 21, 2025 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety concluded its review of the <br />Technical Revision application submitted to the Division on July 25, 2025, addressing the following: <br />Update the mining and reclamation plan maps to show the reduced permit area after receiving <br />approval of Acreage Release Request (AR-2). Total Affected Area remains the same (70.7 acres). The <br />Permit Area is reduced from 240 acres to 228 acres to account for the 12 acres in AR-2. <br />The decision reached by the Division is: approve. <br />The updated mining and reclamation plan maps have been updated to reflect the 12 acres removed <br />from the permit area in AR-2. The current financial warranty held for the site was found to be <br />insufficient during an update of the cost estimate while reviewing this revision. The bond will be <br />increased to $189,957. This amount was approved by the operator and will be updated in a separate <br />Surety Increase. <br />The terms of Technical Revision No. 4 approved by the Division are hereby incorporated into Permit <br />No. M-1977-002-HR. All other conditions and requirements of Permit No. M-1977-002-HR remain <br />in full force and effect. <br />Bond Held: $177,051.00 <br />Prior Liability: $177,051.00 <br />Change in Liability: $12,906.00 <br />Revised Liability: $189,957.00 <br />Prior Permit Acreage: 228.00
