Background Information <br /> 1.1.Site Description <br /> The Slick Rock project is located in San Miguel County, Southwest Colorado, approximately <br /> 23.9 miles north of the town of Dove Creek. The general area is east of the Dolores River in <br /> the Slick Rock District of the Uravan mineral belt. The approximate geographic centre of the <br /> property is 381259.4"N, 108051'28.5"W. It is located in the southeastern edge of the Paradox fold and fault belt <br /> in the proximal Disappointment syncline. Elevations within the project area range from <br /> approximately 5,500 ft to 6,250 ft above sea level. The majority of the project area lies within <br /> the broad Disappointment Valley floor. It is bounded on the west by the Dolores River and <br /> incised to the west and south by Burro Canyon, Joe Davis Canyon, and Nicholas Wash.
