JJ COLLECTING PROJECT #2 (REDEMPTION)
HARD ROCK/ METAL MINING
LIMITED IMPACT OPERATION (110(1))
RECLAMATION PERMIT APPLICATION
6.3.2 EXHIBIT B — SITE DESCRIPTION
6.3.2 (a)
General: Each of the following sites has varying levels of disturbance from previous digs.
These dig sites were chosen because they reveal the presence of pegmatite structures. All
sites are at an elevation between 8300 and 8550 feet. All the proposed dig sites in this
permit application are gradually sloping, at no more than a 3:1 ratio.
Site A: (NAD27) 39° 01'43.98"N 105°19'48.17"W
Site A on the Redemption 2 claim has moderate disturbance from previous digs. The area
had some damage from the Hayman fire, killing mostly the larger Timbre. There are a
handful of small pines that have recently come back and are about 1 to 4 feet tall. Bunch
grasses are well established and there is some wax currant and mountain mahogany. Site A
has good soil representation overall up to 4-5 inches thick with some vegetation and an
organic layer. This area is relatively flat(sloping is roughly 10:1) and so the soil has been
protected from erosion.
Site B: (NAD27) 39° 01'40.09"N 105°19'47.51"W
Site B on the Redemption 1, 2 & 3 load claims has heavy disturbance from previous digs.
Like Site A, the area surrounding site B was damaged by the Hayman fire, killing all of the
larger timbre. The surrounding area consists predominantly of bunch grasses, yucca,
yarrow, some wax currant various wildflowers and potentilla. Site B also has topsoil
roughly 3-4 inches thick composed of loose gravel with a moderate-to-thin organic layer.
Site C: (NAD27) 39° 01'38.01"N 105°19'48.42"W
Site C on the Redemption 1 & 3 lode claims has moderate disturbance from previous digs.
This area was also damaged by the Hayman fire, killing all of the larger timbre. Like Site B,
the surrounding area consists of bunch grasses, yucca, yarrow, wax currant, potentilla, and
wildflowers. This site has relatively thin soil roughly 3-4 inches thick. The top layer is loose
gravel with a thin organic layer. See the attached soil report and map to this exhibit.
6.3.2 (b)
There are no man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected area named in this
application. However, USFS Road 274 is with 200 feet of the proposed access trails. As
