EXHIBIT H — WiLDLiFE INFORMATION
its the Operator/Applicant shall include in this Exhibit a description of the gate and
non-game resources On and in the vicinity of the application area, including;
a) A description of the significant wildlife resources on the affected land,,
There are no significant wildlife resources on the site as this site has been disturbed
by mining for over 18 months. Prior to that the site was regularly disturbed as it was
cultvated agricultural land (and it is surrounded by cultivated agricultural land).
The NR S characterizes this site as Loamy Plains and 4Gravei Breaks'with low plan+
density (refer to Figure 1 on the next page for illustrative graphic), We have
incorporated several of the grasses historically on the site(Little Bulestem, Sideoats
Grama) into our seed mix to help improve the site's wildlife value post-re amamat on.
b) Seasonal use of the area;
Because the site does not contain any significant wildlife resources, seasonal use of
the area is limited.
c) Threatened or endangered species;
The site does not contain suitable habitat for any threatened or end-angered species.
di General effect during and after the proposed operation on the existing Ittlidlife of
the area,'
The agricultural and mining activities on the site have limited its value to wildlife, The
site is small enough that migrating wildlife may travel around the site, Once the site is
revegetated, it will create improved cover, foraging, and nesting areas for wildlife.
Opaw Aill; asap AN •
I View A/Exlogical Stan IAia- Dt,.
lWill Optima
li 3eta'.as
3-:aa: • I .1 4
task Options -
y _
Wanr AN Es-skyiask Situ Info l
RO67BYDO2C0—Loamy Plains
I This:calogtal its i
I4k:e xama,Burlalograss Sad _ s ,. it
Slue 3r3ma,Be iainprass Sod with Cad Season "
Remnants s F .
3o-bade as i-I'',
I y
)
3oack,erode'f; ' •' k
LOW afarrt Deftstt/.Excessive LA s.
teffl
Red T reeartn.Annuals.Bare;rued
Seeded Rangeland
I
w
l Hastern sneatgrass.efue xama.:,re .
*/eedlsgresa Farxmg,antis' +art_amrst.r tr ` C
l RD67bYO63CO—Gravel Breaks , 4 4- - aµ -
'his Ecological Site ' .- 1
safe 3no nd,utivt:gams.Anntiafs Plant Comex:sty I .• ., ;.
Slue Grams Sod.Threat/leaf Sedge?tarot Carnmuntr c ,,„
Slue Grama Alith Decreased Mid and Tail Grass Plant h, "
Community
title euestem,Sideoats Grama Pfart Corn rib,
(H°C)
ii _aal
Figure 1
Source: USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service: nttp veosoiisurvey sc egov usda gov/Apol,iiieoSoltSurie,f aspx
11
