and is positioned between two existing coal mining operations. <br /> 77, <br /> �i <br /> f Iry <br /> -•----- ------ i <br /> s' <br /> 5[aFeofColarado N <br /> Map I: Yoast Mine permit boundary and hydrology. <br /> The Yoast Mine plan area is approximately 4 miles southwest of the Peabody Sage Creek Mine <br /> (presently in Temporary Cessation status)and 3.5 miles east of the Seneca II-W Mine (presently in <br /> Permanent Cessation status). The mining area is located between Sage Creek and Grassy Creek and <br /> is found on USGS Mount Harris and Dunkley maps. Production of coal last occurred in February of <br /> 2006. <br /> Geologic Setting <br /> The Yoast Mine permit area is located within the Wyoming Basin Physiographic Province. <br /> Elevations within the permit area range between 6,530 feet along the northern end of Haul Road <br /> A and 7,980 feet at the summits of ridges within the southeastern portion of the permit area. <br /> The terrain is characterized by broad west and northeast facing moderately sloping benches and <br /> 4 <br />
