1.0 EXHIBIT A- Legal Description
The subject property (formerly known as the Sedwick County Soil Borrow Area) is located
approximately one mile southwest of Julesburg, Colorado. The site entrance is located at (lat.
40.95967, long. -102.26242). A site map, including property boundaries based on the legal
description provided to AEC by SCRB, as detailed below, is provided on Figure 1:
A Tract of land partially in the N 1t2S W 1/4 &partially in the S W I/4SW 1/4,all in
Section 4, Twp. 11 N., Range 44 W. of the 6th P.M., Sedgwick Co., Colo_; more
particularly described as follows to-wit: '
Commencing at the West Quarter Corner of said Sec. 4; Thence E. on and along
the N. line of the SWI/4 of said Sec. 4, a distance of 1,8 l l.0' to the true point of
beginning, said point being on the Southeasterly Right-of-Way line of a County
Road recently improved; Thence continue S. 89°50'30" E. a distance of826.8' to
the center of Sec. 4-11-44. Thence S. 1°09'30" W. a di stance of 1,320.0' measured
on and along the E. line of the SW 1/4 of said Sec. 4, to the E. 1/4 corner of the
SW1/4 of said See. 4; Thence N. 89°50'30" W. a distance of 1,335.7' measured on
and along the S. line of the NI/2S WI/4 of said Sec.4 to inter-sect the Northwesterly
R.Q.W. line of Interstate Highway 80S; Thence S. 57'09'30" W. a distance of
342.7' measured on and along the Northwesterly R.O.W.line of said I 80S;Thence
N.43°32'30" W.a distance of 595.3' to intersect the Southeasterly R.O.W. line of
an existing County Road;Thence N.49°07'30"E.a distance of 1,635'more or less,
measured on and along a recently built fence considered to he the Southeasterly
R.Q.W. line of said County Road to the True point of beginning;
EXCEPT That portion of R.O.W. for 1-80S shown on the annexed plat, and as
shown on sheet#27 of the Colorado State Highway Plans,Project 1-80S-2(10)152,
Federal Road Region #9.
As shown on Figure 1, the permit boundary includes 5.77 acres and is bounded by four corners
located at the following coordinates:
