Docusign Envelope ID:45B9721C-FDE2-4821-B686-80BBC79CA6DD
"Small Vehicle Shop" labels and revise the C-2 Map as well as other Exhibit C maps
which show the same feature.
• This feature has been removed in the revised Drawing C-2(Attachment 1).
c. A contour interval is not identified on the map nor are there any contour elevation
labels.
The contour interval(25 feet) has been added to the legend, and contour elevation labels have been
added to the drawing (Attachment 1).
3. The following items need to be addressed for the Drawing C-2b: Existing Utilities:
a. A phone line and power line are shown across the Globe Hill and Schist Island Pits
need to be removed or relocated to their correct alignments.
These features have been removed in the revised drawing C-2b (Attachment 1).
b. The Division is aware of overhead powerlines on VLF2 which are not shown and the
one utility line that is depicted appears to be in error. Please identify the location of the
utility lines between ADR2 and the Phase 3 PSSA pumps as well as the utility lines
associated with the Booster Station and correct the utility line currently depicted
across VLF2.
These features have been updated in the revised drawing C-2b (Attachment 1).
4. The following items need to be addressed for the Drawing C-3: Proposed Facilities -
Buildings and Utilities:
a. Please identify the location and extent of the Elkton, South Cresson, and Globe Hill
• expansions as proposed in the AM14 overview narrative. Additional, where necessary,
please update the appropriate Exhibit F Maps where these expansions will modify the
post-mining topography.
Exhibit C-3 and F Maps have been revised to include the Globe Hill expansion area. Due to business
needs and operational considerations, the Elkton and East Cresson pit expansions have been taken
out of AM-14 and will be submitted separately as Technical Revisions.
b. Labels, contour lines, utility lines, etc. should reflect the final buildout for the AM14
expansion areas rather than depicting existing features.
Drawing C-3 has been updated to show the proposed grading plan for the VLF expansion liner area.
This shows the relationship between the proposed liner area and the existing features.
Exhibit D—Mining Plan (Rule 6.4.4):
5. Within Section 1.1,the 3rd bullet point describes that solution from the VLF2 expansion
area will be intercepted by High Volume Collection Pipes and routed directly to the ADR2
or Phase I/II PSSA by way of an infiltration gallery. As this is a deviation from previous
expansions, please use this section to discuss why solution will be handled this way
instead of using gravity flow to get solution down the dual liner system toward the Phase
I/II PSSA.
When the design of VLF2 Phase I/Il was completed (approximately 2010), VLF2 Phase IV was not
envisioned, and the high-volume collection piping was not sized to accommodate the flow being
produced from the Phase IV expansion. To work around this, the high-volume collection piping will
transition from a perforated pipe to a solid pipe at the low point of Phase IV and is directed to ADR2 or
the Infiltration gallery.
SSR Mining Inc.
