Russell RE: Quist Mining - File No. M-2023-002, George L. Quist Amendment (AM-1) Request for an Amendment Please be advised that on May 15, 2025, George L. Quist, whose address and telephone number are 1849 Trail Creek Rd, Lake George, CO 80827; (719) 337-2067, filed an application for a/an Amendment (AM- 1) to M2023002, Quist Mining, which is located approximately 6 miles Northeast of Lake George, Section 11, Township 12S, Range 71W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Teller County. Applicant wishes to expand the permit from 2 acres (following the simultaneous approval of Acreage Reduction AR1) back to 5 acres by adding mining areas on his nearby Silver Microcline and Hilltop Claims. A decision date has been set for June 14, 2025.Written comments or objections to the application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Elliott R. Russell at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) 903-4456. George L. Quist is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the locality of the mining operation. If you wish to make comments on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within ten (10) days of the newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity. M-GR-03A-P
