1 .5. Revegetation
Any revegetation taking place will be conducted using the seed mix below. Seed will be drilled in all
areas that are practicable. When drill seeding is not practical, broadcast seeding may be conducted at
twice the drilled rate described in Table E-1.
Table E-1. Post Mine Land Use
The post mine land use for all reclaimed waste piles will be industrial/commercial. Revegetation plans
are included in this permit for erosion control only. The post mine land use is consistent with local and
state land use goals for this area.
3. Reclamation Schedule
The reclamation schedule of each waste pile will vary depending on its size and mining environment.
The general sequence of reclamation for all waste piles will be as follows: once a large enough area of
a waste pile is excavated out to, typically beginning from the top, the underlying ground will be graded
to final slopes and then topsoiled and seeded according to the mining environment that the waste pile is
in. Grading will be conducted in two to four weeks. Topsoiling and seeding will be completed in two to
four weeks, in general. Final reclamation monitoring and maintenance of stormwater control structures
and diversion structures will be conducted for two years following reclamation to ensure permanent
stability.
Water quality treatment for sediment will discontinue once the site has achieved permanent stability.
London Mountain Clean Up E-2 U Lewicki& Associates
April 2025
