locations shown on Map C-2. Topsoil underlaying potentially acid-forming material will be hauled to the
London Mine 110D operation for processing or hauled offsite for disposal at a licensed landfill.
2.4. Non-Vegetated Competent Ground
All waste pile material will be removed from the mining area and transported to the London Mine 110D
operation for processing. Any topsoil identified will be stripped and salvaged into a stockpile for use in
reclamation.
3. Period of Mining
While the exact number of waste piles and thus the total quantity of material to be cleaned up is
unknown, it is anticipated that no more than 15 years of operations will be needed to clean up all the
waste piles in the affected area. This time period may be lengthened or shortened by operational
factors.
4. Mining Areas
The size of mining area to be worked at any one time will be no more than 20 acres.
5. Commodities to Be Mined
All metal bearing ores identified in the waste piles that are potentially acid-forming will be mined and
taken to the London Mine 110D for processing. This includes, but is not limited to: zinc, cadmium, lead,
iron, copper, manganese, gold, and silver.
5.1 . Incidental Products
Non-acid forming materials excavated as part of pile clean up will be used as construction materials.
This includes onsite usage on the permittee's own property or sales to third parties for use.
5.2. Explosives Use
Explosives will not be used as part of this operation.
6. Proposed Roads
Waste piles will be accessed via either existing roads or roads to be installed during operations. All new
roads will be located within the affected area. Roads will remain in reclamation as needed to facilitate
access to different areas of the site. Road installations will be on a case-by-case basis depending on
the piles being excavated in a given year. All roads will be built to Park County road standards as
applicable.
London Mountain Clean Up
D-5 Lewicki& Associates
April 2025
