Victory Way, Ste 104 Craig, CO 81625 Re: Trapper Mine (Permit No. C-1981-010) Permit Revision Application No. 12 (PR-12) PR-12, L-Pit Additional Cut and AOC Revision Dear Moffat County Commissioners: This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a revision application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Trapper Mining, Inc. on October 10, 2024, for the Trapper Mine. The surface mine is located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: Township 5 North, Range 90 West Section 5 All Portions of Sections 6, 8 and 9 Township 5 North, Range 91 West Portions of Sections 1, 4, and 5 Sections 2 and 3, ALL Township 6 North, Range 90 West Portions of Sections 30 and 32 Section 31, ALL Township 6 North, Range 91 West Portions of Sections 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 32 Sections 33, 34, 35, and 36, ALL Copies of the revision application are available for public review at the Moffat County Clerk and Recorder, 221 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625. Copies of the Division's “Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance” are available at your County Clerk and Recorder’s office.
