<br /> <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety proposes to approve Permit Revision <br />Application No. 12, submitted by Trapper Mining, Inc. for a coal mining permit at the Trapper Mine <br />(Permit No. C-1981-010). Permit Revision No. 12 (PR12) proposes an additional dipline cut in L- <br />Pit, a modification of the post mine topography/Approximate Original Control(AOC) variance <br />revision for the extra cut, specific seismic monitor discontinuation, as-built pond information for <br />East and West Buzzard sediment ponds, miscellaneous text update and reclamation plan <br />modifications. <br /> <br />The Trapper Mine is a/an surface operation located in Moffat County, approximately 6 miles <br />Southwest of Craig, Colorado. Coal interest is federal, state and private, and the surface to be <br />affected is state and private land. The permit area encompasses approximately 11,293.79 acres. <br /> <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding of whether the proposed operation will comply with all <br />requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34-33-101, et seq., <br />C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br /> <br />Copies of the proposed decision, including any stipulations, are on file for public inspection at the <br />Moffat County Clerk and Recorder, 221 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625.
