EXHIBIT G
WATER INFORMATION
This operation is not expected to directly affect surface or
groundwater systems . This is a dry mine. No ground water is
exposed or otherwise impacted, so a Well Permit and associated
water rights are not needed. Berms have been constructed along
the west side to divert surface runoff from entering the mine
from upgradient areas .
No water is used for dust control, in mining, or during
reclamation by the clay mine. The gravel producer leases water
from an approved source for their needs when processing the
material on the adjacent Rocky Flats Pit .
There are no well permits within the permit area. Well
permit #242998 was for a well drilled in 2002 one-quarter mile
west of the Church Pit permit boundary. The well was drilled
1, 400 feet and was a dry hole.
Current natural drainage is toward the Eastern part of the
property. Operations will not disturb this drainage pattern
except in the immediate area of the mine where all surface runoff
water flows into the pit area. There will be no effect on
surrounding properties .
The operator' s intent is to minimize disturbances to the
prevailing hydrologic balance of the affected land and to the
surrounding area and to the quality and quantity of water in
surface and groundwater systems, both during and after mining and
during reclamation. The operation will be in compliance with
federal and state laws and regulations governing water and water
rights . Any and all mining and associated operations are to be
set back from the Church and McKay ditches so that they will not
be affected. The material being mined is clay, with an extremely
low permeability. Clay seams are not an aquifer.
The final reservoir capacity is unknown at this time and
will depend on the mining depth, the amount of backfill, and the
final configuration of the reservoir. The mining depth will be
determined by the amount of economically recoverable material.
Water for the reservoir will come from sources owned by the
reservoir developer and water rights will be put in place before
any water is stored.
Lakewood Brick and Tile Co. 22 Church Pit-M-1979-045
Amendment 02 April 16, 2025
